Texting Terms of Service

Below you will find our terms of service regarding our text messaging bereavement series, which also includes privacy matters. These terms may be updated from time to time.

  1. This texting series is sent out through Providence Care Hospice. Primary website: https://providencecanhelp.com/.
  2. Call 864.881.8777 for assistance with the texting series. The contact information to our bereavement team is found here.
  3. Your consent is important to us. We will only send out this bereavement text messaging series to those who communicate to us that they want to receive the text messaging series.
  4. You are signing up to a bereavement series. The purpose of the series is to provide bereavement support through educational and inspirational content.
  5. This texting series is for informational purposes only and will not contain any marketing or promotional content.
  6. This bereavement text message series will be sent out through an auto-dialer (SMS platform) called SimpleTexting (simpletexting.com). Here is the link to their privacy policy.
  7. We ask you for your name and the name of the deceased in connection with this text messaging series solely for bereavement care purposes.
  8. Sign up by texting the word “grief” to (855) 960-6402.
  9. You may unsubscribe at any time by texting the word STOP to the 855-960-6402.
  10. Providence Care Hospice will never charge you for the text messages you receive. However, you may receive charges from your mobile provider, depending on your phone plan.
  11. The series consists of five messages spaced out in three-month intervals. Each text message contains a webpage address link to the bereavement message. The series will stop after the fifth bereavement message, which you will receive at twelve months.
  12. We will delete your information from the SimpleTexting platform (name, phone number, deceased name) within less than one month following the completion of the series.
  13. You have the right to request to delete your information from SimpleTexting’s platform at any time.

  16. We collect personal and activity data, which may be linked. We use technologies like cookies (small files stored on your browser), web beacons, or unique device identifiers to identify your computer or device so we can deliver a better experience. Our systems also log information like your browser, operating system and IP address.
  17. We do not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly obtain parental consent or remove the information.
